• The Thoughts Module is the first stage of the C.A.R.L. programme.
  • The purpose of this module is to help participants recognise the importance of the cognitive process (the process of gaining knowledge through thought, experience and the senses) as being the first necessary step towards change.
  • The process of thinking has a major impact on a person’s feelings; this in turn will be visible in a person’s behaviour. Participants are therefore encouraged during this module to critically analyse their thinking concerning their experiences during adolescence to adulthood.
  • During this module participants will demonstrate an understanding of Replacement Thinking.
